What is DigiProces forecast for this year?We live in times of high uncertainty. Until we don’t get a vaccine economic patterns will have little to do with those before the pandemic. We are focused on adapting to changes as quickly as possible. Resilience is key right now.
At the organizational level, have you planned new work models?We have implemented many systems to guarantee the maximum safety for staff in our factories. At the same time, we have developed a permanent home office system that we call TeamFlex, which means each team in the organization is able to manage its work time either in the office or at home.
Which trends are occurring in the EMS market?The current situation is accentuating the tendency to reshoring. Digitalization of the industry, facilitating costs optimization, together with the logistics risks highlighted during the pandemic result in a growing need for local suppliers. Which innovative improvements will stand out at DigiProces this year?We have two main focuses: the first one is robotization of raw materials flows in our factories, allowing us to optimize stock levels and, consequently, improve costs. On the other hand, we will continue to invest in assets for our new laboratory, which allows us to speed up projects and improve the time to market of products developed for our clients.
Is there any particular sector you are working in more intensively?Even having clients in many different sectors, the tendency towards digitalization has exponentially increased projects related to IoT. But the market of medical devices is also continuing to grow constantly and, as we own the ISO 13485 certification, we have been able to consolidate our strong position in this market.
Thinking about one year from now, what is your wish for DigiProces?I will be happy to have all our present collaborators and if possible enlarge this big family. We want to keep growing and adding value to our clients.

The new Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) laboratory of DigiProces is already in operation, allowing us to perform pre-certification essays in an almost immediate way and speeding up the verification and validation time for the commercialization of electric and electronic products.Ensuring electromagnetic compatibility of a product is essential to avoid interferences affecting its proper functioning and taking EMC into account from early stages of design is the best way to avert delays when bringing the product to the market.Having an internal laboratory for these tests is a great competitive advantage. Final essays in a certified laboratory get reduced to a mere formality, avoiding redesign works in the final stages because of a last minute default and thus minimizing reengineering costs. At DigiProces we can develop investigative essays to guarantee the efficacy of the electronic design and optimize the solutions required: maximum performance at the lowest cost.The DigiProces EMC laboratory integrates a semi-anechoic chamber covered with ferrites in this first phase, which allows to carry out essays with radiated emissions and radiated immunity up to 1 GHz. It has the capacity to develop conducted emissions, conducted immunity and ESD (electrostatic discharges). The initial objective is covering essays in the industrial sector, but our plan is flexible enough to expand in later phases to other environments like the automotive field.These innovative facilities are handled by an experienced professional team that assures the most demanding results in every project. DigiProces is already manufacturing in series electronic components integrated in the first emergency field ventilator produced in Catalonia to equip hospitals with the medical material required for treatment of patients with Covid-19. The quick expansion of the pandemic has made intensive care units to urgently need these mechanical ventilation systems and thanks to a group of world-class technology companies and scientific units they have been created by using 3D printing and with capacity for an industrial production.DigiProces is very proud of providing with its technological potential this important project, for which it is responsible for manufacturing the PCBA controlling the assisted breathing system of the device.Definitely, these new field ventilators, which have been developed and certified in record time, mean an essential health innovation project and will ease accessibility to an adequate treatment for hundreds of patients.From DigiProces we just can be happy to put our engineering at the service of people and will continue to work hard in this production line until we reach the desired end of the epidemic.
After the publication of Royal Decree-Law 10/2020, dated 29 March, from DigiProces we want to inform that our factory remains active, since part of our production is necessary for the provision and correct operation of essential companies within health, sanitary and biotechnology sectors.Many of our clients are also key companies in the development of products and services in high demand due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, as they work on the provision of medical and personal protection equipment such as field ventilators and diagnosis instruments for hospital use, among other crucial activities to support the health system globally.For this reason, DigiProces premises remain open and production considered essential keeps going to ensure continuity of supply, although staff has been reduced in number to just what is strictly required in these circumstances.Given the uncertainty of the situation, we at DigiProces stay alert to adapt to any possible change and remain at your disposal for any doubt.
